Every preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ has a message. As you listen to the messages you will find that Brother Branham had one main theme and that was stay with the Word. His life proved that if you stay right with the Word of God then God will keep His promises. Brother Branham is credited for bringing more than a million and a half souls into the kingdom of God and that’s because he stayed right with God’s provided way and that way is you must be born again. To have eternal life is to be born again of the Spirit of Jesus Christ and outside of that you are lost. A lot of people think that if you live a good life and be a good person you will go to heaven. That is not true. Brother Branham also let it be known that to be born again is a life-changing experience. To be born and live again you have to die and the thing you die to is yourself and a worldly sinful nature and it takes the Holy Spirit to do that.  If you claim to be born again and still live the same life that you did before and still love the things of the world then you did not receive the Holy Ghost but have been deceived by the devil. The scriptural formula is laid out in John 3:3‭-‬5 KJV “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God” and also Acts 2:38 KJV “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost”.

Brother Branham spoke against denominations. He was not against the people but the spirit that causes a denomination. A denomination comes about because a group of people believe that the message they have is the Word of God and in most cases it is. Then God will move on and bring a fresh Message and a few people will embrace it while the rest will stay with a previous message and then there is a disagreement or division in the people. The Bible says in Philippians 2:2 KJV “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind”. God wants people to be in agreement with each other and the way that takes place is to be filled with His Spirit. God keeps moving. If you look at the scriptures you will see that since the days of Moses God started using man as his mouthpiece. These men were called Prophets and they had a message from God to the people. The Bible shows us that God will always send a prophet with a message before judgement or something significant happens. It’s not that the past message was wrong but God is building a body and we should take what we were given plus what he will give. Jesus did not do away with the old testament he just brought it into a greater light.

Brother Branham spoke strongly against sin and the attributes of sin but the purpose of that is to wake the people up to see what kind of life they are living and turn to Christ. As it’s been said “correction starts at the house of the Lord” but the failure starts at the pulpit when preachers will not speak out hard against sin. While listening to the messages you will hear a very humble and kind man and you will also hear a passion and love for Jesus Christ and his people like no other. Even though Brother Branham had a very limited education he was able to bring to light by the leadership and yielding to the Holy Spirit, things in the scriptures that amazed the great religious leaders and religious scholars of that day. Brother Branham was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and you will see that he was so spiritual that he saw God, the scriptures and the ways of man in nature because like he said the natural is a type of the spiritual. Jesus put a lot of his messages across using parables and William Branham used nature and stories relating to his life to help put across his message.

So many people have taken Brother Branham’s message and used it to justify all types of things like not going to a doctor and ruling over people with an iron fist but if you just listen to what he says he tells people you must go to the doctor but when the doctor can’t do anything else for you then you turn to God. He also said that there’s no greater power on earth than the power of prayer and love. When you listen to him you can tell that he spent a lot of time in prayer and you can also hear the love that he has for Jesus Christ and the people no matter what the condition of the people. His heart went out to all people no matter what color or creed or religion and no matter how bad they were but if they would listen to what he had to say his whole heart was to save that soul and turn them to Jesus Christ.
