A critic is someone expressing adverse or disapproving comments or judgments. There will always be critics of everything that’s said or done especially when it comes to religion. Usually when a person is critical of someone is because they feel like that they are right and the other person is wrong. When Jesus was here he faced much criticism especially from the religious leaders but it was only because they had gotten so far away from the truth of the Word that when the Word was fulfilled and made flesh in front of them they could not accept it. The same thing happened when Brother Branham was here. His life expressed exactly what the scriptures said would happen in this day and what God would do in a man’s life but the people have gotten so far away from the truth that they said that Brother Branham was wrong and of the devil just like they did to Jesus. Brother Branham often said that if you come to his meetings to find fault the devil will give you plenty but if you come looking for God then you will find God.

 There are all forms of criticism of Brother Branham’s ministry that call him a devil, racist, cult leader and all sorts of things. There are people who try to apply the politically correct way of thinking of this day to the way it was 60-80 years ago and the mindset was different back then. God brought a Message by his prophet William Branham at the perfect time and placed it on recordings for this day. At the time of Brother Branham’s ministry this country had come out of a Great Depression and a World War and the people we’re grateful for what they had and still had a hunger for God. Now in this country there is so much prosperity and the morals have let down and with political correctness there would be very few people that would accept the ministry of Brother Branham. His message is not for everyone but at the same time it is for everyone. Just like Jesus, his message was that he was willing that none should perish but he knew that not all would accept it. If you search the internet for information about the great men in Brother Branham’s day such as Billy Graham and Oral Roberts you will not find very much if any criticism of these men but in searching for William Branham there are tons of critics. The reason for that is satan knows exactly where God is at and will do everything to destroy what God is trying to do. In this day you find a lot of hatred and criticism to the point where people actually make fun of Brother Branham and his ministry which is not a Christian way to be. When a person is truly born again and received the Holy Ghost they are not going to be critical of anyone and if they find fault in others they pray for them and love them just like the Bible says.

In this day it is believed that men that are doctors of divinity or great educated Bible scholars know more about God than your average person. Brother Branham was poor and had very little education but if you search the scriptures you find that most of the disciples were as the Bible says “ignorant and unlearned” and those are the ones that believed and followed Jesus and were trusted to handle the Word of God. Moses of the old testament and Paul of the New testament were well educated but they had to lose their education to know God.

The critics have found one or two things in the message that they say did not come to pass that Brother Branham prophesied would happen so the way they approach it is if he was wrong on one thing then it was all wrong. There’s actually another way to look at that. If there were so many things that were right and one thing wrong then maybe there’s a reason for that or maybe there’s an understanding that we don’t have. God can do things in a way that confounds the people but yet he does things according to His Word. Everything of God is approached by faith so if you can prove it then it’s not faith. God will do things to test a person’s faith and give them every reason to walk away but a real Holy Ghost filled believer will stay right with it and trust God no matter what. Brother Branham’s whole heart was to serve Jesus Christ which means serving the people and he gave it 100% every day. This is a quote from Brother Branham:  “Life isn’t a flower bed of ease for me; I have my critics. But I must. Jesus said I must. Jesus said that all must do that, that’s followed Him. He had them and I must have them. But from the very depths of my heart, and God knows the integrity of my heart, I’m only trying my best to do something to help poor suffering humanity, when their last chance is gone as far as the doctor is concerned, to try to help them to be well.When I do get a chance to sleep at night, I can lay down with this thought in my mind, “I’ve done my best. I’ve done all I know how to do to make life a little more pleasant to my fellow citizens, pilgrims, travelers on the road home to heaven.” And I trust that you’ll receive it in that manner”.

His whole purpose in life was to help people and there are critics out there whose whole life is to try to tear down what Brother Branham tried to do. God designed mankind to make choices. It took place in the Garden of Eden and it still stands in this day. People can choose to follow God or not follow God or listen to Brother Branham or not listen to Brother Branham.

People will tell you to listen to something and other people will tell you to not listen to it but every individual makes their choice and it’s based on what’s in that person’s heart. If a person doesn’t think that Brother Branham’s Message is the truth then they don’t have to listen to it. The mistake people make is that they will say that Brother Branham is of the devil and he’s wrong and make fun of him not realizing that if that’s the Holy Ghost in Brother Branham then they are guilty of blaspheming the Holy Ghost and there’s no forgiveness for that. But people make themselves the judge and condemn someone who doesn’t see things the way they do. That is actually on both sides. Christians to sinners and even Christians to Christians. It would be wise that if a person doesn’t agree with someone then just let it go. Jesus said in John 3:6‭-‬8 KJV “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit”. Jesus said no one can know who is born of the Spirit so it’s best to not be critical of anyone because there’s no way to know whether or not God is in that person’s heart and working with that person to change their life.

So to sum things up, Brother Branham had his critics just like Jesus and any true servant of God will so a person needs to listen to what Brother Branham has to say and make their own decision.
